Terms of use

Terms of use

ARALLIA’s ground rules: a neutral platform, public and versioned demands, moderation of behaviour and never of opinion.

Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of ARALLIA, a neutral platform for organising civic gatherings. Browsing the map, the movements and the events does not require an account. Creating an account implies having read and accepted these terms, the ARALLIA charter and the privacy policy.

Account

You must be at least [minimum age: 15 years, to be confirmed] years old to create an account. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password; we recommend turning on two-factor authentication from the Security area.

One person = one account. Your public name is displayed on your publications and on your roles; your real name, which is optional, stays private.

Rules of use

ARALLIA moderates behaviour, never opinion. The following are forbidden:

  • calls to violence, hatred or discrimination, harassment and threats;
  • impersonation of an identity or of organiser status, fake demonstrations and misleading communication;
  • spam and any misuse of the platform (mass data collection, abusive automation);
  • publishing personal information about third parties without their consent (doxxing);
  • any manifestly unlawful content.

Movements, organisers and demands

Organisers are solely responsible for the content they publish, for the lawfulness of their gatherings (prior declaration, authorisations, safety) and for the accuracy of the information given.

A movement’s demands and charter are versioned: once published, a version is neither erased nor silently altered; any change creates a new dated and attributed version. This rule guarantees public trust and cannot be circumvented, except where legally required.

ARALLIA’s role

ARALLIA provides the tool. The platform does not organise any gathering, does not take sides with any movement, does not sell visibility and never ranks content by popularity. It checks neither the lawfulness nor the advisability of the gatherings announced and provides no legal advice.

Moderation and appeals

Any content or behaviour can be reported. The platform’s moderators may hide content, suspend an event or an account, or issue a warning, with a recorded reason. The person concerned is informed and may lodge an appeal [procedure and deadlines: to be completed].

Personal data

Data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy. In particular, taking part in a gathering or supporting a movement may reveal political, trade-union, philosophical or religious opinions: this data is processed only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Availability and liability

ARALLIA is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage, or for unavailability resulting from maintenance or an incident. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants you as a consumer [clause to be validated by a lawyer].

End of the account

You can delete your account at any time from the Security area. The publisher may suspend or delete an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these terms, after informing the person, except in an emergency.

Changes to the terms

These terms may change. Account holders are informed of any substantial change [notice period: to be completed]; continued use amounts to acceptance of the new version, unless refusal is expressed by deleting the account.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the courts of [city of the registered office: to be completed] have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules protecting consumers. Consumer mediator: [to be completed].
